Canvas, simply put, is a setting for stories to be told in. I want to challenge myself by putting all (or at least most) of my stories in one timeline. The shared continuities of the early MCU and Stephen King's works really enthralled me as a kid, and I always liked seeing how seemingly dispirate stories connected. I was also one of those kids who believed all the Pixar movies shared a canon, if that explains anything about me lol

Canvas is the result of that interest. It's a 3,000 year story beginning with the dawn of a society and the end of the universe. It'll cover lots of ground, from medieval fantasy to noir to science fiction. It's a story I hope to tell for my whole life, and hopefully I'll get some folks interested in listening to it along the way. If that interests you at all, welcome aboard.

As for the world itself, Canvas is an earth-like planet with one moon, a ring system, and five contients. It was created by The Artist and their Governors to serve a home for their first creations, a group of monsters called Elders. When the Elders became cruel and disregarded the guidance of their creators, the Governors turned to a small, unassuming race of cattle. After the Governors imbued them with superhuman abilities, these feeble creatures rose up against their oppressors and claimed the world for themselves. This was the beginning of humanity's story.

I'm currently in the process of writing my first book in this setting. It takes place nearly 1,500 years after the dawn on human society and follows this world's version of King Arthur as he ascends to the throne, facing various challenges along the way. I hope to use this blog as a way to brainstorm ideas for this book, as well as posting general information about Canvas and its history. I hope this all interests you. Feel free to talk to me about it in my site's chatroom, or anywhere you can find me. Thanks for reading!!!
